Sandy
Ridge is a new community of homes on the SR532 just a little east of Old
Lake Wilson Rd.The
Championsgate shopping / dining area and golf courses are only a 2
minute drive away – whilst the more action packed 192 is easily
accessible from Old Lake Wilson Road (SR545).
Disney is 10
minute drive and Seaworld and Universal are 15-20 minutes. The I4 will
take you to most other central Florida locations and this is just a 3
minute drive from Sandy Ridge.

Sign. How much does it cost? Prices range from £400/$850 (low season) to £725/$1300 (High season) per property per week. Check the rates section for full cost details. What's included in the price? The price is per week for the villa and not per person. It is inclusive of sales tax and electricity (pool/spa heat is extra). Are there any hidden extras? There is a cleaning
charge of £65/$95 payable on bookings of less
than one week. What are the arrival & departure times? Check in after 16.00 on arrival date. Check out before 10.00 on departure date. What deposits do we need to give you and are they returnable? There is an initial non returnable deposit of £100/$125 per week payable to secure your reservation. A refundable security bond of £100/$200 will be required with the final balance. This will be returned to you subject to there being no damage to the property or contents contained within. How close is the villa to Disney? Both villas are 6 miles from Disney which takes only 5 - 10 minutes to drive. Directions will be given to you explaining the easiest and quickest route. This is my first visit - Can you give suggestions for things to see & do? You really will be spoilt for choice in finding things to do. Usually the biggest problem is how to fit everything in! We have provided a list of other sites on our links page which we think will help get you started, but we are always happy to chat to you and help in any way we can. How do I find out if the dates that I want are available? Please contact us and we would be happy to discuss what dates we have available alternatively you can check our availability calendar. Mickey's Retreat has four bedrooms and
sleeps up to 10 people.Goofy's
Getaway has five bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 people. Is there a minimum / maximum stay time? The villa is available
for any length of stay starting on any day of the week There is too much / little information for me to decide, can I just speak to someone? We are happy to chat to you about any aspect of your holiday. We really want to make this a special trip for you, so please feel free to contact us. Why should I choose a villa and not a hotel? Most private vacation
homes offer considerably more space than you will find in the typical
hotel room often at a reduced cost. Private homes offer
excellent flexibility. Unlike a typical hotel room, most private
vacation rentals include kitchen facilities. Vacation rental homes often contain many personal & convenience items that will increase the comfort of the guest. Many vacation homes are
used frequently by their owners and as such, they are not like the
typical "sterile" environment found in hotels and other "vacation
establishments". Homeowners and rental
agents are often able to provide you with
tips and hints that only the locals
know. Renting a private vacation home offers the affordability, exceptional value, and personal attention that you deserve. Why should I choose Vacation Holidays by the Mouse? Mickey's Retreat and Goofy's Getaway are our homes which we wish to share with you to make your stay a magical one. They both are furnished to de-luxe standard. We strive very hard to maintain them at an excellent standard making your stay as pleasurable and relaxing as we possibly can. Both are in great locations. Mickey's Retreat offers privacy plus community facilities if you wish to meet others and make friends. Goofy's Getaway offers total privacy and a spectacular conservation view. Do I need travel insurance? We would strongly recommend that you get full travel and medical insurance for peace of mind. Are there any shops/restaurants/facilities close by? Some homes are just rented out as an investment and provide only the basic essentials. We have tried to make our villas as much of a home as possible and to add various items to make your stay as comfortable as we can. In addition to the usual swimming pool we have added a spa for your relaxation. The location is superb for access to Disney. Both homes have "Free" Hi-Speed Wireless internet connection facilities Also included is a phone with free local calls. Is there plenty to do for the children in the villa? We have provided colour TV’s, and a number of board games. In addition the swimming pools are provided with pool toys. There is also a PlayStation at each home.PS1 at Mickey's Retreat and a PS2 at Goofy's Getaway . What about child safety features? We have pool alarms fitted to the external doors leading from the villa to the pool. Goofy's Getaway has a detachable children's pool screen for extra safety. Are all towels and linen included? YES all linen and towels for use in the villa are provided, but we do not supply beach towels so please bring your own if you are planning a trip to the coast. When do you advise pool heat? Pool heat is advised from November until the end April. Can I hire a high chair or cot? These are available free of charge from our management company - please state your requirements when booking. Are all the resort facilities included in the price? There are no additional charges to guests. Who looks after the villa? We have a property Management Company who looks after our villa. They are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week in case of emergency. Has the villa got any safety features? As brand new villas both meet all the stringent safety regulations laid down by the state of Florida. They are provided with a fire extinguisher. Is there a shop on the resort? There is no shop on the resort but there are two supermarkets within a few minutes drive. Does the villa have its own phone? Yes and all local calls are free. To make long distance calls you need to provide the telephone company with details of your credit card. We strongly advise that you purchase a phone card from any of the local stores for a much cheaper way to make long distance calls. You simply enter the number on the card into the phone in the villa and make your call. Does the home get cheaper the longer I stay? Depending on the time of year we would consider discounting stays over 2 weeks. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Do you accept payment via credit cards ? Yes. We use the very secure Paypal system to take payment via credit and debit cards for your convenience. Please use the links at the bottom of the home page to be directed to the secure Paypal site. As Sandy Ridge is in a conservation area with lakes, can I go fishing? , tell me more ? FRESHWATER FISHING :The Orlando area is renowned for its Bass fishing. There are two small lakes on Sandy Ridge that have Bass in them, and cat fish are in the larger lake, as a resident you can fish these lakes without a permit. Alternatively, there are many lakes with in easy reach of Sandy Ridge. The Kissimmee chains of lakes are well known locally for Bass fishing, others include; · Lake Jackson · Walk in Water · Blue Cypress · Stickmarch Farm You
will need a non residents fishing permit. You can bank fish at most locations or there are also organized outings by boat that include tackle, bait and a guide to ensure you are fishing the best spots. SALTWATER FISHING: The Indian River on the East Coast of Florida has a great abundance of saltwater species including Tarpon and Redfish and makes a very worth while trip. Other fish including Snook and Trout can be found here too. If you want something different fishing on the grass flats or mangrove swamps on the Indian River. Florida’s East Coast flats fishing is some of the best flats fishing you can find anywhere, and as the weather warms up so do the Trout and Redfish!
